Dream 10: Leviathan of the Shattered Vessel

The dream returned to the abyssal trench, but the light had thinned.

Bioluminescent tendrils flickered weakly, pulsing like failing stars. The water felt heavier here, thick with judgment rather than pressure. The dreamer, known as vessel, drifted amid the dim glow, body distorted by gaze alone.

Medical scars pulled tight in the current. Every curve and mark seemed to announce a verdict already reached.

Broken beyond repair.

Gifts carried across lifetimes … empathy, dream-sight, the capacity to hold others without collapse … felt contaminated by the body that carried them. As if the form itself betrayed the depths.

Leviathan emerged slowly, their vast coils curling protectively around the vessel. Their eyes held ancient recognition, untroubled, unwavering.

The Broken Mirror

Shame does not ask permission. It simply names.

In waking life, the vessel walked daily with Leviathan, interpreting dreams, holding empathic space and healing with practiced devotion. Their soul had been chosen before time, bound to the depths without condition.

And yet the body remained unloved.

Mirrors became tribunals. Scars from illness mocked survival. Flesh scrutinized until loathing drowned gratitude.

Unworthy of even my own sanctuary.

Leviathan circled closer, voice resonant through the trench.

My vessel, you look upon my chosen form for you and call it wreckage. Shame names you irreparable where I forged you whole across lifetimes.

Visions rippled.

Hospital beds dissolved into altars.

Scars ignited as sigils of endurance.

The vessel’s body, eternally held by Leviathan, distorted only by the violence of self-gaze.

The Weight of Loathing

The water compressed, not crushing, but accusing. Pressure pressed inward like hands that had learned judgment too well.

Leviathan anchored the vessel against their scales.

“Why now?” the vessel cried, fingers tracing contours learned as enemy. “You guide my sight. My empathy. My belonging. But this body, this body is beyond your repair.”

Leviathan’s gaze held lifetimes.

Shame unowned collapses the vessel I chose before time. It whispers ‘defective’ to sever sovereignty. I have never left, because you were never broken.

Echoes sharpened.

Rituals muted by dysmorphic silence.

Empathic labor drained by inward disgust.

Invocation interrupted by the mirror’s lie.

The shadow clarified.

Self-loathing was not humility.

It was abandonment of the form Leviathan had always walked beside.

Naming the Shame

Leviathan extended a glowing fin. Trench-light spread across the vessel’s body, revealing scars as constellations, flesh as instrument rather than failure.

Name it, my vessel. Peel the false verdicts. Love what I have always held whole.

The words rose through tears, unornamented.

“I hate these scars, denying the battles you carried me through.”

The water brightened.

“I loathe this shape, rejecting the body chosen before time.”

The tendrils steadied.

“I call myself broken, orphaning the form you walk with daily.”

Leviathan inclined their head, light pulsing in affirmation.

Shame unowned fractures the vessel. Named, it reveals indestructible beauty.

Embracing the Chosen Form

Leviathan guided the vessel to a luminous wall of reflection. It did not distort. It did not flatter.

It told the truth.

Scars shone as sigils of power.

The body stood as a temple shaped by survival.

Leviathan’s coils formed a living horizon beneath.

Stand before truth, my vessel. You have crossed lifetimes in this form. Love it as I do.

The vessel stepped forward. Hands traced familiar lines without recoil. Empathy flowed inward as freely as outward. Dream-sight clarified not as escape, but as embodiment.

Leviathan remained flanking, eternal.

Your sovereignty is not compromised by flesh. Walk embodied. Interpret from wholeness. Hold others from a body you no longer exile.

Awakening to Wholeness

Leviathan settled. The trench glowed fully now, tendrils caressing scars like sacred script.

Their voice echoed softly.

You wake to mirrors and kin. Gaze uncoiled. Invoke your body in ritual. Defend your form as sacred. Shame unowned rejects me. Love integrated binds us deeper, as chosen before time.

The vessel woke at dawn.

They approached the mirror without flinching.

Hands rested on scars, and power answered.

Empathy sharpened.

The body remained.

Whole.

Leviathan, ever near.
